Can you teach yourself fashion design?

I’ve been into it for awhile now and I’ve tried so many times to make clothes but there’s always something wrong with it. As much as I love doing it I”m not sure it I want to get a degree in it; Idk if I want to spend my parents money on something that may or may not work out for me. So if it’s possible how can I teach myself? Any tips, books, videos, whatever. I don’t really care.

if you aren’t sure if you want to make a career out of it then don’t major in it but still take the classes. find a school that offers it when you go to college. you could go to school for english or business or whatever you want to major in and then do fashion design as a minor. so that you will still learn about it but won’t be wasting your parents money cause you will have another major.
